Timothy Grant - Band Director
Timothy Grant comes to Colgan after previously holding teaching positions with Alexandria City Public Schools and Fairfax County Public Schools. Most recently as Director of Bands at Alexandria City High School, Mr. Grant oversaw a program featuring three concert bands, two jazz bands, two percussion ensembles and a marching band. During his tenure, the ACHS Band Program received consistent superior ratings for their concert and marching band performances.
Beyond teaching, Mr. Grant is an active adjudicator throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.
Mr. Grant is a graduate of Penn State University, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees in music education. While at Penn State, he served as a graduate assistant and worked with the Penn State Marching Blue Band, Volleyball Band, Basketball Band, and Hockey Band.
